Continued body camera partnership for Coventry RICOH Arena
Pinnacle Response body cameras have been the bodycam solution of choice for Ricoh Arena for 5 years.
Since the official opening of the arena in 2005 the Ricoh Arena has become a world-class destination in Coventry. Accommodating for over 32,000 spectators and a rising capacity of 40,000 for music events, the arena is also home to Coventry City Football Club and the Premiership Rugby Team, Wasps.
This partnership has seen Pinnacle Response’s body worn camera solution utilised across security teams at a range of events at the Ricoh Arena, including some of the world’s biggest music and entertainment acts. Body worn video cameras have been proven to act as a deterrent for anti-social behaviour. Verbal articulation that recording has commenced is often enough to prompt modified behaviour.
The Ricoh Arena caters for prestigious International Football Events, although the pitch has graced more than just dynamic sporting tournaments and music events, it is also home to one of England's leading conference and exhibition destinations.
Colin Stanford, Managing Director at Pinnacle Response said: “Pinnacle Response body-worn cameras are used across a wide range of sporting and large music venues in Europe.
We are delighted to continue to supply the Ricoh Arena with our body-worn solution to ensure both staff and public safety at the venue”.
Paul Cook, Stadium Safety Officer at Ricoh Arena said: “Pinnacle Response have provided us with our Body Worn Video (BWV) solution here at Ricoh Arena aiding our stewarding and safety teams in delivering excellent customer care. The BWV allows our teams to have confidence when dealing with some occasional challenging situations, knowing that the video and audio recording will help produce factual evidence in support of their actions. The BWV from Pinnacle Response was chosen over a number of possible solutions, for the ease and simplicity of use for both the end-user and also in downloading the data. Our teams here deal with a wide range of events and sporting fixtures and the BWV has now become an integral part of the safety and security solution provided on-site, and as part of the teams range of PPE”.
